PLP's platform owners are parallel investors; their exact percentages are not disclosed in the ownership statement. Companies House lists control of the management company, including John Whittaker's control over trustees. These statutory bands can overlap and must not be added together. PLP announced the acquisition of Astley from Peel Waters on 7 January 2025 for UKLV2. The venture's 16 June 2022 announcement names Ivanhoé Cambridge as majority investor, alongside Peel L&P, Greater Manchester Pension Fund and PLP. Ivanhoé Cambridge was subsequently integrated into La Caisse, formerly CDPQ. The platform and venture disclosures refer to different investment scopes; Macquarie's platform involvement does not establish an Astley stake. Whistl leases Unit 2 for 15 years and identifies PLP as the site owner in its September 2026 statement. The exact property-owning company and registered land-title owner remain unverified. PLP lists offices in London and Manchester without identifying a single headquarters. Peel's current investment directory retains PLP, but the exact holding vehicle following Peel's restructuring remains unverified. PLP's completed August 2026 sale to KKR/Mirastar covered Stafford, Crewe, Ellesmere Port and Wakefield; it does not establish a sale of Astley. [1][4][5][7][8][9][10][2][11][12]
