Unilever is the London-based consumer-goods group behind Dove, Vaseline, Hellmann’s, Knorr and other household brands. Its listed parent is Unilever PLC. [4][1][3]
01 / Behind the name
Who owns Unilever?
Publicly listed · London, Amsterdam and New York [1]
Intermediate holdings and other UK subsidiaries are omitted. The ice-cream business was demerged in 2025, so Magnum and Ben & Jerry’s are not included as current brand aliases. The announced Foods combination with McCormick remains subject to completion in the reviewed transaction update. [1][5]
Headquarters, incorporation and tax residence describe different things. A headquarters address does not tell you where all of a company’s tax is paid.

Brands in the Unilever portfolio
Brands and named ranges from Unilever’s global directory, 21 regional catalogues and group portfolio disclosures, supplemented by official brand websites. Regional names and sub-brands are included. Listed markets identify the sources checked, not every country of sale or worldwide ownership rights. Some regional sites no longer publish a catalogue, so this is not a complete register of every trademark.
Brand research reviewed . Ownership and tax figures elsewhere on this page describe the group, not individual brands.
Magnum, Ben & Jerry’s, Wall’s and the other demerged ice-cream brands are outside this current operating portfolio. Remaining Indian and Portuguese ice-cream interests were sold in 2026. [1][31]
Graze and SariWangi left the portfolio in 2026. Conimex, The Vegetarian Butcher and Kate Somerville were sold in 2025. [1][31][32]
The Foods combination with McCormick remains pending in the reviewed update; the food brands are retained here. Lipton and certain other names require market-specific interpretation. [5][33]

What does it report in UK tax?
The 2024 country table reports €4m of UK corporate tax including withholding tax, within €279m of total tax contribution. The combined corporate-and-withholding figure is retained separately because it does not isolate corporation tax alone.
